Utilization bands shown reflect commonly cited FICO scoring guidance, not a guaranteed score prediction. Utilization is one of several factors in your credit score (about 30% of a FICO Score), and actual score impact varies by your full credit profile. Not financial advice.
How This Calculator Works
Your credit utilization ratio is simply your total credit card balances divided by your total credit limits, expressed as a percentage. It's calculated both per card and overall across all your cards — and both matter, since a single maxed-out card can hurt your score even if your overall utilization looks fine on paper. This calculator shows you both numbers using your actual figures, and lets you test how paying down a specific card changes your ratio.
